13th January 2023 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods Max Speed: Distance Covered: Friday 13th January – walks **** Around Felixstowe – sunny periods and breezy. I was not going to do an entry for today but we had such a wonderful day with the new Granddaughter Maeva which included her first outing in the great outdoors in her lovely fox buggy I thought why not:) It was a windy day but with family visiting there was no windsurfing today so I decided to get up early and head down to the seafront here in Felixstowe to catch the sunshine leaving home around 7.30. It did not look very promising to start with lots of dark clouds but in the end was treated to a nice sunrise, fairly brief but pretty none the less and got a few OK pic, one was picked again as BBC Editors Pick but sadly it did not make it onto the TV :( Then home for breakfast only to find Mag had gone on an early walk too! My son Dan with partner Jay and the lovely Maeva arrived around 11, the health visitor came and weighed her and she continues to put on weight well and is fast approaching 6 lbs :) We really enjoyed our day together with Mag even getting to give her a bottle. Then with snowsuit on she gets her first ride in her buggy, just to the end of the road for a sea view just as a huge container ship heads in. Home for a cuppa and I get a massive cuddle with her eyes for loads of it:) Windy again tomorrow but with loads of rain before it gets much colder for a week :( Photo Album here |
